Recently appointed by the Federal Government, as the preferred provider for the Nanny Pilot Programme in NSW, we are currently recruiting Nannies to support families across the state.

We are looking for Nannies with a wide range of experience and qualifications but more importantly, caring and compassionate Nannies who are willing to work diverse shifts.

Essential Criteria

  • Experienced working with children 0-13 years
  • Well developed interpersonal, oral and written skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Understanding of EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current 1st Aid & CPR including asthma & anaphylaxis
  • Current Criminal Record check
  • Willing to work independently and different shifts
  • 2 referees required

The Nanny Pilot Programme was established as an initiative of the Australian Government the Department of Education and Training to meet the demands of a large number of families who are unable to find mainstream child care services that meet their needs.

We are currently looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join the NSW Nanny Services’ team.

The role of the Family Liaison Officer is to support and monitor nannies and families ensuring quality care provision for the families and their children. You will enjoy working within a large team and like a challenge.

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or working towards it
  • 1st Aid / CPR Certificate which includes Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Sound knowledge of the current legislation and governing laws
  • Current Child Protection Certification
  • Demonstrated community development skills and networking skills
  • Current Working with Children Check and Criminal Record Check (no older than 6 months)
  • Hold a current driver’s licence and be able to use your own reliable vehicle

Working closely with the Manager, this role also contributes to the improvement, development and implementation of the service and organisational strategies, policies and practices.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

  • To oversee, coordinate and monitor the day to day operations of the NSW Nanny Services.
  • Review financial statements and data and plan effective strategies to ensure financial viability of the service.
  • To compile reports as required by the NSW Nanny Services.
  • In consultation with the Manager control the income and expenditure of the NSW Nanny Services.
  • To review, improve and implement processes and policies to maximise output whilst monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Assist the Manager in the development of strategic plans for operational activity of the NSW Nanny Services.
  • To assist the Manager with all aspects of recruitment & selection of required staff for the NSW Nanny Services.
  • In consultation with the Manager consult with a wide range of children’s services and government departments to maximise the effectiveness of the NSW Nanny Services’ programs.
  • Evaluate, review and compile bi-monthly reports in relation to status of funding outcomes.
  • Acquire and keep up to date with industry knowledge in relation to NSW Nanny Services.

Essential Knowledge, Experience:

  • Experience of Early Childhood Sector with children 0 – 13 years.
  • Early Childhood Qualifications (minimum Diploma or equivalent) and Business Qualifications.
  • Current or willing to obtain Certificate IV in Training and Assessment/Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role and working knowledge of the Nanny Sector, In-Home Care, Family Day Care or another Children’s Service.
  • Financial and budget management experience.
  • Recruitment and staff supervision experience.
  • Advance report writing skills and high level of computer skills.
  • Highly developed time management and communication skills.
  • Initiative, discretion and judgement of high level with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines whilst working on competing priorities.

Located in Summer Hill the NSW Family Day Care Association Inc. (NSWFDCA) was founded in 1976 as a not for profit organisation and was established to support the development of affordable, quality child care within a home environment in NSW.

We are currently looking for a Senior Administrator with strong skills in payroll, accounts payables and receivables. You will be experienced with MYOB and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

Reporting to the Manager of our In-Home Care Service and working alongside two other Administrators you will be responsible for all facets of processing CCB and SCCB including entering, revisions, adjustments, processing of attendance records and follow ups.

You will be accountable for carrying our administrative duties in the provision of quality, flexible, home based childcare service to meet the specific needs of families. You will collect and record data and information for the purpose of accountability, evaluation and report requirements

You will have a minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role, have an eye for detail and used to working as part of small team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 4 to 5 years’ experience working as a Senior Administrator or similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with all facets of payroll and MYOB.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.
  • Experience in dealing with highly confidential information.
  • Well developed interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
  • Well developed assessment, report writing and evaluations skills.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
