Casual Employment for up to 4 months  

Conveniently located in Summer Hill and close to public transport, the NSW Family Day Care Association was founded in 1976 and was established to be the PEAK body for Family Day Care in NSW which supports the development of affordable, quality education and care within a home environment. NSW Family Day Care Association operates as a non-profit organisation under a Board of Management.

We are currently looking for Mentors to join our Family Day Care Services Education and Support Program.

You will be required to assist and mentor the Family Day Care sector nationally, to remain financially viable, through the transition to the Community Support Program funding changes.

Mentoring will take place through a variety of mediums including telephone, e-mail, skype and face to face sessions.

Essential Criteria:

  • Currently involved or working within the Family Day Care Sector
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Family Day Care Sector
  • Extensive knowledge of Financial Management
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning of Family Day Care
  • Event or project management administrative experience
  • Knowledge of Family Day Care Legislation and Regulations
  • Effective customer relation skills with a professional phone manner
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to complete multiple projects whilst maintaining deadlines
  • Conflict and mediation skills
  • Ability to convey complex information in a simplified manner
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows 2007
  • Ability to work independently within a small team environment

We are currently looking for an experienced a Family Day Care Support and Administration Officer with a minimum 3 years’ experience within Family Day Care and a strong knowledge of quality practices. You will join the Professional Services team who work to ensure the professional support and training needs of Family Day Care. You will be working within the team to provide telephone support and administer the professional development coordination processes.

This will be a great opportunity for you to extend your Family Day Care experience into a valuable and exciting role.

  • Diploma in Children’s Services
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Family Day Care Sector

We are currently looking for a Student Support Officer for our RTO (PEAK Training) to support our students on Cert III in Early Childhood Education & Care and Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care.

Whilst previous experience in an RTO environment will be highly regarded the following are the key requirements of the role:

Essential :

  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including the TAELLN401A unit
  • Early Childhood Qualification
  • Strong team work skills
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of the operations of training organisations
  • Experience in the Coordination and evaluation of Training Programmes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Publisher and Windows 2007

Desirable :

  • Knowledge of the Family Day Care sector and other childcare services
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with the LMS MOODLE Platform

As a FDC Support Officer you will be joining our Professional Services Team which  provides professional support and training to Family Day Care service staff and educators through telephone and face to face support. You will be working within the team to provide guidance and support, networking opportunities and mentoring to new family day care providers.

This will be a great opportunity for you to put your expertise of Family Day Care into a new and exciting role.

The NSW Family Day Care Association was founded in 1976 and operates as non-profit organisation under the management of an Operational Committee.

We are currently looking for an In Home Education & Family Facilitator to join our In Home Care Services. You will be assessing, monitoring and advising families in crisis within their own home environment and within the current relevant legislation and governing laws.

Working closely with the Manager of our In Home Care Services you will be involved in the selection and placement of educators for these families. You will work in partnership with children’s agencies and other services to ensure compliance and current practices are put into place.

You will contribute in a substantive way to the In Home Care Services’ policy formulation, review and implementation and maintain up to date manual and electronic filing systems of Educators and Families.

Essential Criteria:

  • Diploma in Children’s Services or higher
  • Comprehensive knowledge, experience and understanding of the Early Childhood Sector
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to follow tasks through to completion whilst maintaining deadlines
  • Ability to work independently within a small team environment
  • Conflict and mediation skills and effective customer relations with a professional phone manner
  • Current 1st Aid / CPR Certificate which includes Asthma and Anaphylaxis training

We are currently seeking Educators to work within the family’s own home across Eastern suburbs, Northern suburbs, southern and Inner West suburbs.
