Helpful Information for educators

This page is designed to help you get the most useful information in one spot. We would love to hear from you if there’s something you feel should be included, or a resource that you know you’d be lost without and want to share it with other educators.

One of our most popular resources is an 100 page guidebook that links all the 58 elements of the National Quality Standard to the questions, “What would I see?“, “What would I say?“, “What would I show?“. Please visit our online shop to order this and many other useful resources which are delivered via post.

Mandatory Standards

From the 1st of March 2009, the mandatory standards for folding cots were introduced and apply to the supply of new and second-hand folding cots. Some of the key requirements of the mandatory standards include: no inflatable parts, minimum height measurements which apply to the sides or ends, positions of features which might be used as footholds, mattress requirements, child-proof locking mechanisms and safety markings.
